Those sitting next to the window refuse to wipe it either because they don’t believe the window needs to be wiped or because it would be too disgusting to do so. In the exact second the rest of the world stopped buying U.S. bonds — the so-called safest asset in the world — Trump folded like an unused lawn chair at a family barbeque.
