Trump Empties His Guantanamo Migrants Back On US Soil, Snubbing His Weaponized Laken Riley Act
According to new reporting, there are currently exactly zero migrants being held at Guantanamo Bay, including a group of 23 individuals that was deemed ‘high threat’ without a fair hearing, and 17 others that were arrested during ICE raids. What a stunt at the expense of Latinos for Trump!
The Guantanamo 40 are back on US soil, leaving MAGAs to wonder where to hide their women, after Trump weaponized the personal tragedy of a beautiful woman that didn’t deserve it, to scapegoat all immigrants, only to backtrack a few short weeks later.
On the surface, the Laken Riley Act seemed well-meaning until you began to read what was in it. The bill is hardly a public safety measure, but rather an attack on established constitutional protections that would eliminate due process for undocumented immigrants, by stripping them of their basic rights and upending how the U.S. government enforces immigration law.
The Trump administration is facing multiple legal challenges for this, which is why the Guantanamo 40 had to be brought back.
