Oh Boy, The Evangelical Armageddon Lobby Was Banking On Those Tariffs
MAGAs are Barely Hanging on to this Mortal coil
In the early days of the Agricultural Revolution, unexpected catastrophes like wars, famine, and diseases rendered huge swaths of agricultural debts unpayable.
To avoid devastating mass foreclosures, the early Crescent civilizations codified mass debt forgiveness into their religious observances, unwelcome news, of course, to the oligarchs of the Roman Empire, who were hell bent on accumulating historic wealth.
As the Roman Empire lapsed into mind-bending wealth inequality, the debt forgiveness movement exploded in popularity. With an empire crumbling around them, the last Caesars left standing rushed to accept baptism into the new faith, and the Roman Catholic Church was born.
From then on, interest-bearing debt would remain banned by the Church well into the Middle Ages, until the Protestant Reformation came about and once again normalized debt and interest in the West, such that in the year 2025, ‘quantitative easing’ is continuously equating to our federal debt exceeding the cost of funding our military, and the numbers are only getting crazier.
