MAGA Farmers' Racist Opinions About ‘Food Stamps’ Is How Trump Cheated Them Out Of Their Farms
Racism is easy; Farming is Hard
They say the only good thing about agricultural subsidies is that at least they’re not military spending. The corrupt MAGA Congress, when they needed to, continually used images of ‘family-run farms’ to justify programs that would eventually destroy family-run farms, I.e, subsidies.
Contrary to popular belief, there is no risk in farming anymore — The government provides price support, crop insurance, direct payments not to grow crops, and even goes as far as supplying markets at taxpayers’ dime … all this before any possible taxpayer bailout in response to possible tariff retaliations, which is also a given.
The majority of what’s in the ‘farm bill’ has nothing to do with farming at all. About 80% of the farm bill used to go to food stamps (SNAP). That has since been cut. ‘Subsidies’ were only tucked into the bill because subsidizing farming is popular.
Over 90% of the 20% of the ‘subsidies’ contained in these ‘farm bills’ are usually given to farming conglomerates, which is why billionaires and corporations have flocked to these sparsely populated midwestern states…
