Iused to think nothing could trigger real legislative gun reform until the United Healthcare CEO got gunned down in the middle of Manhattan. It’s been business as usual when mass shootings are performed on large numbers of school-going children, random shoppers, and as many marginalized people as possible, by the usual profile of a shooter —a ‘mentally unwell male’ or whatever, including the likes of Kenosha teen shooter Kyle Rittenhouse, who take advantage of civil unrest to go out and get a ‘legal kill’.

What is not ‘normal, however, is a shooter who seems to have identified where the vectors of their suffering intersect, and marks that as their target.

It was not normal when Trump was targeted, much less the CEO Brian Thompson! The media tried to cue a dirge to a room full of dead crickets. The breathless gas-lighting that followed has been a hodgepodge of something like this;

“Whoa! You can’t do that! You’re supposed to be taking your anger out on random Americans, not a CEO!

Go kill some school children you dumb ass! That’s an important guy, a rich guy, a powerful guy!

This person had a family…
