It’s hard to play the race card against the woman who perfected the deer in the headlights look, and who unfortunately had to live through the scourge of racism, growing up south of the Mason/Dixon line. At this point in her life, it’s safe to assume that Nimarata Nikki Randhawa Haley has mastered the art of doing what is expedient to achieve her goals.

It all began with a simple shortening of her full name to just Nikki Haley. Her other noteworthy efforts to kowtow to white southern Neo-Confederates in recent times have included; an improbable inability to pronounce fellow Desi Vivek Ramaswamy’s name (which he’s frustrated about), and that beautifully insightful response, “… blather gobbledygook…” to a simple question about Civil War.

But we go easy on Nikki, she has zero roots in South Carolina and would know nothing about slavery.

Her wide-eyed vision of America’s role in the world was made clear for all to see when she took up a gig during the Trump administration as US ambassador to the UN where she exemplified a near-perfect example of ineffective bullying by a military superpower. ‘Were taking names …’, she once squealed, as if personifying Marlon Brando in the…
