A man with all the earmarks of an African ‘leader’.

After the election Of Barack Obama, I can’t help but think Americans are developing a fondness for leaders with some ‘African’ in them. Welcome to the motherland, America.

I love politics. Unlike many who read into it through an emotional lens, I have dug myself out of that hole, and so should you.

Developing countries have for years been dealing with what is going on now in the land said to be flowing with ‘milk and honey’ — emotional politics.

Never have there been a time in recent history as this one. The republicans are almost an extension of Trump’s arm or a personification of the man himself. Whatever he says drives them into an emotional puddle that they cannot climb out of and when they attempt to, he says something else and they continue to wallow in it some more, stuck — albeit forever. …

“They said it couldn’t be done and we got it done. One of the largest infrastructure projects in the history of our country. We gave you 100% of what you wanted so now you have no excuses.”

Well, only 452 miles have been completed, a fraction of the 1,954 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border he promised. According to the Customs and Border Protection agency (CBC), under the Trump Administration, the government built a total of 452 miles of a border wall, but roughly 400 miles were reconstructions of existing barriers, primarily in California, Arizona, and New Mexico.

In its final days, Trump’s White House continues to take unprecedented measures to secure funding to erect the wall. Trump’s February 2019 National Emergency declaration, diverted billions of dollars from federal programs to build the wall. …

Probably Couldn’t reconcile the Trump-mob as spenders

“Corporate America is starting to understand that silence is complicity,” — Lee Newman, CEO of MullenLowe U.S.

Companies have traditionally sought to position themselves as cutting across political divides. Brands and have continued to stay out of politics — at least that’s what they hope to convey in their public relations and marketing messaging. We’re now witnessing a big shift. It’s not business as usual.

When he burst into the political scene in 2016, corporations saw Donald Trump as a vehicle for a pro-business agenda, when he promised tax cuts.

Beyond the tax cuts, Trump also set in motion a wave of deregulation that the business community was craving for after eight years of the Obama administration. He even went on to appoint three conservative and pro-business judges to the Supreme Court. …

Did we expect that he wouldn’t?

To all of those who have asked, I will not be going to the Inauguration on January 20th. — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 8, 2021

It’s truly hard to talk about Donald Trump without looking at 1800 America to get a bit of context. He’s been doing one of two things, breaking norms or following some textbook. The parallels are strikingly exact.

History of Inauguration Day

The first inauguration was that of George Washington and took place on April 30, 1789. From then on, all subsequent inaugurations from 1793 until 1933, were held on March 4, a day when the federal government began operations under the U.S. …

“After witnessing the disturbing, deadly insurrection that took place on Wednesday in Washington, D.C, Simon & Schuster has decided to cancel publication of Senator Josh Hawley’s forthcoming book, ‘The Tyranny of Big Tech. We did not come to this decision lightly. As a publisher it will always be our mission to amplify a variety of voices and viewpoints: at the same time we take seriously our larger public responsibility as citizens, and cannot support Senator Hawley after his role in what became a dangerous threat to our democracy and freedom.”

Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley has found himself on the receiving end of some unfavorable news. His new book that was set to be released in June 2021 The Tyranny of Big Tech, has been canceled by the publisher. …

An admission that he couldn't amass the 11,780 Votes needed to win Georgia

I’ll have to give it to him, Donald Trump’s subversive political model has no established language or vocabulary in American politics. The extrapolations I’ve been reading about don’t fit his model at all. Bloodless coup? No way, propagandist and rumor monger would be more fitting.

In the recently released #Trumptapes, he’s heard begging Brad Raffensperger, a Georgia state election official, for a total of 11,780 or 11,779+1 votes, a number that would exceed by one, the margin of Joe Biden’s victory in the state of Georgia and by extension, admitting that he couldn't amass the number of votes required to win the state. …

It came as a surprise to much of the world how Donald Trump immediately endeared himself to authoritarians rulers and tyrants from countries such as North Korea, and Russia, just to name a few.

According to his first wife’s divorce papers, then-lawyer Michael Kennedy learned that the then real estate mogul Donald Trump, kept and studied the English edition of ‘My New Order’ published in 1941, which he kept under lock and key.

The book outlines a collection of Adolf Hitler’s speeches and demonstrates his use of propaganda to control the human psyche.

History

In 1932, it is reported that one Roger Money-Kyrle went to Berlin at the invitation of Arthur Yencken, a diplomat. Yencken took him to a Nazi Party rally, at which Joseph Goebbels and Hitler were speaking. …

As Donald Trump continues to defy calls to concede the election, it’s becoming increasingly clear that he might be leaning on a group of modern-day “prophets” for support, most of who are not waiting for the stimulus check.

Some of these prophets hit it right on with Trump’s 2016 election win. As proof of the authenticity of the yet to be fulfilled Trump 2020 prophecy surrounding possible re-election, they rightly point to past prophecies that have come to pass.

Back in 2018, pink-haired Kat Kerr of Jacksonville said that not only would Trump have two terms, but so would Vice President Mike Pence when he runs for president, with Trump as his running mate. …

Based on Article Two of the US constitution (Section 2, Clause 1), the pardon power clause provides;

The President … shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of impeachment.

The pardon has the power to halt criminal proceedings and prevent an indictment, though this has not been tested in court, like in the pardon of Richard Nixon.

He was granted the controversial pardon by then-President Gerald Ford, on September 8, 1974. …

Much to the peril of a much-awaited stimulus check

As President Donald Trump was consolidating his last-ditch efforts to further block the traditionally smooth presidential transition with the help of a group of fringe advisors, he caught wind of a certain bill that was speedily making its way to his desk for a signature.

Not one to sit like a lame duck and sign it, and while having chosen to sit on the sidelines the whole time bill was being negotiated, Trump jumped back into action throwing a wrench at it, in a late-night video announcement on Twitter.

In the cliffhanger, Trump threatened not to sign the $900 billion relief bill, which would also serve to among many other things keep a government open — a major priority for sitting and presidential hopefuls alike. …
