Some Evangelical preachers will want to put Dr. Fauci, to task by quoting biblical texts which promise healing and protection to those who have faith.
While faith is subjective and in most cases has been, and continues to be eroded by the daily goings-on of natural human experience on this planet, it raises a question as to how this can be the remedy for all.
Many of these preachers are multi-millionaires whose status and residential addresses automatically qualify them as socially distanced from the masses. …
Trying to make good of the acres of time she now has after being stripped off of her committee assignments, conspiracy theorist Marjorie Taylor Greene went digging in the dumpster again.
This time, she actually dug out the general trajectory of the current GOP and branded it The America First Caucus. The leaked seven-page policy document of the said caucus advocates for “uniquely Anglo-Saxon political traditions” and a return to a federal infrastructure style that “befits the progeny of European Architecture.” She’s a century off.
It also included bold language that warned against “mass migration” that threatens the long-term existential…
Judge Peter Cahill read the verdict at Hennepin County a little after 4 PM. Derik Chauvin was found guilty on all three counts — second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter. I can’t help but think of George Floyd’s family, who had remained hopeful that justice would be served, thanks to the victim-blaming strategy the defense deployed throughout the entire trial, to cast reasonable doubt in the minds of the jury on what they may have seen on that viral video.
The first calls to justice for George Floyd’s murder were in the form of countrywide protests, that were met…
Three reports emerged this week of three different people being brutally assaulted by police officers — one, was of a uniformed US Army lieutenant who until now, had surprisingly chosen to remain silent. I’m not sure whether his faith in the system informed his judgment, but I respect it.
A common feature I noted among the three reports was the disturbing and abusive language officers start to hurl almost immediately at the suspect.
In the latter case, the Army lieutenant is offered a truce right there on the street, asking the guy not to say anything about the encounter —…
I read somewhere that Meghan Markle is regarded as the whitest Black woman in recent memory. It’s incredible how acute our vision has gotten over these past few years. Our ability to define people fortunately keeps changing. A good thing — maybe.
Let’s get today’s context from Fox;
First and foremost, the unidentified woman who remains largely unnamed in the clip is the first Black and female Mayor of St. Louis, Ms. Tishaura Jones.
On the right sits a Black man, Leo Terrel who’s there to disqualify a fellow Black person who has just made history. On the left…
The fight is just not in him anymore. But can we blame old Rudy? A man in his seventies and at the height of his service to Trump was the personification of the Trump creature, Trump’s version of a patriot.
See “Trumpism” creates creatures out of ordinary folk. Without these mindless creatures or patriots, as Trump endears them, we would have never seen what’s happening in America right now.
Completely unable to think for themselves, hence rendering themselves individuals of very low intelligence — as Sidney Powell clarified to us the other day — Trump appealed and continues to appeal…
At the end of the testimony yesterday, an interesting exchange took place;
Pulmonology Expert Dr. Tobin: It seems like you’re purposely trying to confuse me.”
Chauvin Defence Attorney: No, I wasn’t trying to do that. It’s just been a really long week.
A long week it has been, indeed. I thought I was the only one who was feeling confused about the nature and wording of Chauvin’s defense attorney's questions. The questions have been mostly hypothetical and mostly lead to a yes answer from the witness. They’re sometimes just pure subliminal mind f@*ks.
I was starting to getting concerned about…
